Summary
The overarching purpose of TellUs is to harness the power of maps and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to engage a wide range of stakeholders in decision making about places.The TellUs Toolkit is such a web-based spatial (GIS-based) decision support tool and is applicable at a range of spatial scales from neighbourhood, district, city, region to the national level. The toolkit can help support decisions where location is central to the challenge at hand. For example, by overlaying climate change data, together with data about land availability the toolkit can identify suitable locations for new housing developments.
