Zaragoza (Spain)

Zaragoza, the capital of Spain's Aragón region, is actively advancing sustainable mobility initiatives to enhance urban transport and reduce environmental impact. The city has developed a comprehensive Bicycle Master Plan, aiming to integrate cycling into the city's general mobility framework. This plan focuses on promoting cycling as a daily transport mode, ensuring safety for cyclists and pedestrians, and fostering a culture supportive of sustainable transport. In its commitment to zero emissions by 2030, Zaragoza has invested in electric mobility by introducing 68 electric buses to its public transport fleet. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to expand zero-emission lanes and promote electromobility. Learn more about Zaragoza's mobility planning here.
