Nantes, located in western France, is a leader in sustainable urban mobility, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and enhance public transportation. The city has implemented several initiatives to promote eco-friendly transport options. Additionally, Nantes is improving its tram and bus networks with a €150 million loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), aiming to accommodate the expected doubling of daily journeys by 2030. The city also encourages cycling by providing extensive bike lanes and facilities to reduce car dependency and promote sustainable mobility.
