The Municipality of Pombal aligns its urban mobility policy with the Sustainable Urban Mobility Action Plan (PAMUS) of the Intermunicipal Community of the Região de Leiria.

The city’s mobility goals focus on improving accessibility for all citizens, promoting active modes of transport such as walking and cycling, strengthening intermodality, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, noise and energy consumption, and enhancing road safety and overall urban quality of life.

A key priority is the expansion of safe, continuous and attractive pedestrian and cycling networks, supported by ongoing investments in walking and cycling infrastructure.
