Osmangazi (Türkiye)

Osmangazi Municipality is committed to transforming urban mobility through innovative, sustainable, and inclusive solutions. The municipality is actively engaged in the EU Horizon Europe-funded PROMISE Project (2025–2028), which aims to enhance urban mobility by integrating policy, infrastructure, and technology through a GIS-based decision support tool. This initiative focuses on reducing car dependency, promoting 15-minute city concepts, and fostering stakeholder participation in planning processes.

In line with national objectives outlined in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP), Osmangazi strives to increase the share of public transport and non-motorised modes such as walking and cycling. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to create a more sustainable, efficient, and enjoyable urban environment.

By participating in the CIVITAS network, Osmangazi seeks to collaborate with other cities to share knowledge, resources, and best practices, further advancing its goals of sustainable urban mobility and improved quality of life for its residents.
