NetZeroCities' third Call for Twin Cities to join the Cities Mission Twinning Learning Programme

NZC call for Twin Cities - third cohort

Are you looking for valuable support for your city to ramp up its climate action? If so, then look no further because NetZeroCities, currently managing the EU Cities Mission’s Platform, has just opened the third Call for Twin Cities to join the Cities Mission Twinning Learning Programme! If you wish to embark on a transformative journey towards climate neutrality, you have until October 31st to apply.

This initiative offers ambitious cities a unique opportunity to join an expert-supported 18-month city-to-city learning programme that is focused on knowledge sharingto reach their climate goals. Successfully selected Twin City applicants will be paired with a Pilot City from the third cohort of Pilot Cities or with one of these Pilot Cities from Cohort 2 (Oslo, Trondheim, Pecs and Miskolc, or Bratislava and Kosice), according to shared challenges, opportunities, and emissions domains.

The programme consists of three facilitated modules: Getting started, Co-creating, and Capitalising, with the ultimate goal of developing an Action Plan tailored to each Twin City's local context, transferring learnings of innovative practices from the Pilot Cities.

Through meetings, workshops and site visits, Pilot and Twin Cities will collaboratively address barriers to change and advance towards climate neutrality. Additionally, Twin Cities will receive guidance from NetZeroCities partners and gain access to resources through the NetZeroCities Portal.

This Call for Twin Cities is open to any city in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country who is not part of the EU Cities Mission and not yet part of the Twinning Learning Programme or the Pilot Cities Programme.
