Material from second CIVITAS VANGUARD training now available
The second CIVITAS VANGUARD training on communicating with the citizen took place in Leuven, Belgium, from 8-9 February 2010. It was a successful event, gathering 47 participants and eight speakers from 17 European countries.
The training focused on good ways to communicate an urban mobility project to the general public and various stakeholders. How do you make a communication plan; how do you define your target audience; which message do you want to give; how do you create a strong brand? These questions were answered during the first training day. On the second day, promotional gadgets and giveaways were discussed, then the organisation of events, the workings of the media and the ever expanding world of social media on the internet.A draft Communications Tool Kit was presented, which will be finalised shortly, but is already available for download.All documents and presentations have been added to the CIVITAS Download Center. Also pictures are included as a souvenir of these two interesting days.
