The city news in this edition looks at an innovative research project into the social and emotional benefits of good street design from Brighton & Hove, Ghent’s online tool to help event organisers adopt sustainable mobility solutions, and successful freight consolidation centre that can reduce delivery vehicle movements to participating businesses by over 80 percent. Also in the city news is Vitoria-Gasteiz with its impressive 28 percent drop in car use. Finally, this year’s CIVITAS Awards winning cities and MIMOSA cities’ experience with social media are featured.
