Involving citizens in the decision-making process in Malmö

Malmo SUNRISE

Located in Malmö, the SUNRISE neighbourhood of Lindängen is one of the most active neighbourhoods when it comes to citizen involvement in the co-creation process.

Within the scope of the SUNRISE project, a co-creation approach was successfully implemented in Lindängen, a multi-ethnic neighborhood of 7,620 inhabitants located in the south of Malmo, Sweden.

Lindängen is characterized by a multi-ethnic, international and very young population. 34% of its residents are below the age of 24, compared to 29% in the whole of Malmö.

Emmy Linde, local coordinator in Lindängen, takes you through the SUNRISE neighbourhood and explains how citizens have contributed to making their neighbourhood a better place to live through the extensive co-creative participation process.
