Discussions on freight delivery, car-sharing and carpooling in Zagreb
The CIVITAS ELAN team in Zagreb was very busy this June and organised three presentations within Wednesdays in tram series of events.
During the first event in June, the visitors to the CIVITAS ELAN Info point had a chance to hear more about the freight delivery and recommendations for its improvements in Zagreb city centre from the expert coming from Zagreb Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. The two following events were dedicated to car-sharing and carpooling. Bojan Dragojević from Auto Divisio Croatia presented the car-sharing pilot project that is supposed to be implemented in Zagreb in September 2011. As this will be the first project of its kind project in Zagreb - visitors were very curious and wanted to know all about how the system actually works. The last presentation held in June was about carpooling and the web application Autozasve (Car-for-all) which allows its users to plan and share trips in private cars. Just like car-sharing, this is also a novelty in Zagreb and as such a very interesting subject to citizens of Zagreb. Also the CIVITAS ELAN team is planning yet a final presentation & discussion before the summer break. This time the main topic will be much needed modernisation of Croatian railways system.
