Coimbra Infomobility Centre
One of the Project MODERN outcomings, the Infomobility Centre of Coimbra is already a success. After being officially opened on the 15th of September, hundreds of people have used it to get information , buy tickets , load passes and know about the schedules of the public and private transports operators in the city of Coimbra.
Well placed in the very heart of the city, the Infomobility Centre intends not only to handout information about transports , but also to advise about the several most sustainable and environment friendly ways and means of transport. Along with these services the “SMTUC- Mobile” is also available to the Coimbra inhabitants. It allows to access information about all the SMTUC lines from a mobile phone or a PDA and everybody will have the possibility to get the buses schedules. Just log on to SMTUC web page ( www.smtuc.pt) , find the “SMTUC- MOBILE” icon and do the free download to the mobile device. From then on the lines timetables are always available. Just pick a line, find the next bus stop and the last departure and the next arrival will be showed.
