Coimbra hosts third MODERN Political Meeting & Roadshow
The third MODERN Political Meeting and Roadshow will be held in the beautiful city of Coimbra, Portugal on 7 June 2011. Smart cities, electric mobility and car-sharing are the key topics discussed with politicians and technical experts. All the CIVITAS Family is invited to attend the event !
The Municipality of Coimbra, represented by the Mayor Mr. João Paulo Barbosa de Melo, will host national and international representatives in the Pavilhão Centro de Portugal, a conference centre located by the river Mondego. The day will be organised in two principal panels: a morning political session on mobility innovation and current practices will anticipate a technical workshop on car-sharing. Mr. de Melo will actively take part to the event, opening the morning debate and presenting the municipality representatives of the MODERN Consortium. Car-sharing schemes are currently recognised as strategic ways to support mobility needs.
