CIVITAS Forum Conference kicks off in Krakow

CIVITAS Initiative

The CIVITAS Forum Conference is taking place from 19 - 21 October in Krakow, Poland. The Forum Conference brings cities from across Europe together to explore the future of urban mobility and the way forward for CIVITAS.

This annual event is an opportunity for interaction and exchange between city and European politicians and experts in the field of urban mobility. The conference has a busy programme, including a series of eight technical sessions. These include sessions on increasing the use of alternative fuels and clean and energy efficient vehicles, influencing travel behaviour and modal choice at an early age and new forms of vehicle use and/or ownership and less car dependent lifestyles. In other CIVITAS news, two new tools are available in the Download Center on the CIVITAS website. The updated CIVITAS leaflet contains background information on the project as well as details about participating cities. An informative slide library has also been uploaded, and its 27 slides give a concise explanation of the CIVITAS Initiative, its objectives and the measures that participating cities are introducing or have introduced.
