CIVITAS debate and knowledge exchange on demand-responsive transport launched by Catalonia

A thematic workshop on demand-responsive transport services will be held on Wednesday 1st July 2015 in Barcelona.

Organised by the Government of Catalonia and the regional city association AMTU, the event is also supported by the CIVITAS Thematic Group Collective Passenger Transport.

Practitioners and thematic group members from Bologna, Genova and Parma will present their experiences and debate on how to develop and implement on demand/flexible transport services in both low density (rural) areas an in cities. AMTU has recently updated a study on the topic and is now working at the establishment of a DRTS Central Management Unit to coordinate and implement flexible services in Catalonia.

An online open debate has been launched on CIVITAS Interactive @ http://www.civitas.eu/content/transport-demand-flexible-transport
