CIVITAS Awards deadline on 11 August: showcase your city's sustainable mobility

There are only a few days left to apply for the 15th CIVITAS Awards competition, with the deadline already this Friday 11 August!

The Awards represent a unique opportunity for cities to demonstrate their sustainable mobility activities to a European audience and be recognised and rewarded for them by the European Commission.

There are four categories in which applicants can win prizes:

  1. Present your mobility achievements and how your ambition has led to successful outcomes by applying for the ‘Bold Measure Award'.
  2. If you have been successful in transferring your knowledge to others, then the ‘Take-up Award’ is the one for you.
  3. Have your commitment to the CIVITAS network and sustainable mobility and history of innovative actions recognised by applying for the ‘Legacy Award’.
  4. For the chance to show the transformation of your city into a smarter and more liveable one, apply for the CIVITAS Political Advisory Committee's (PAC) ‘Transformations’ award.

The awards are presented to the winners by representatives of the European Commission and the CIVITAS Political Advisory Committee.

The Awards also showcase and promote examples of progressive sustainable urban mobility policy making and implementation to the European media. Winning can lead to a city achieving Europe-wide exposure for its work.

The CIVITAS Awards are an integral part of the CIVITAS Initiative; they provide an invaluable opportunity to highlight the successes of the most impactful and ambitious sustainable mobility activities across Europe.
