metaCCAZE | Smart Mobility in Action: WeeDRIVE in Limassol

In Limassol, traffic congestion and daily commutes are a growing challenge, especially for families juggling school, work, and after-school activities.

Within the metaCCAZE Project, the city is piloting WeeDRIVE — an on-demand mobility service designed for teenagers. Using a network of 17-seat mini-buses, professional drivers, and real-time tracking, WeeDRIVE offers young people greater independence while ensuring safety and reliability for parents.

By rethinking everyday mobility, Limassol is showcasing how user-centred, inclusive, and sustainable transport solutions can make urban life easier — and bring cities one step closer to climate neutrality.
