Software-controlled security management in the road network
Summary
With the help of new software tools accident data collected and traffic models are combined in order to identify security potentials and hazardous spots. Potential accident situation can be forecasted based on this information and the municipality urban and traffic planning can cooperate with the police in order to take preventive measures which significantly reduce the likelihood of accidents. A security audit of roads based on new IT preconditions will be tested in Munich for the first time within the project areas.
