Summary
The objective is to provide an efficient service in order to increase the bus patronage in areas that are suffering a lack of high-quality public transport connectivity and offer. It will be conducted a preliminary study with the different solutions for high-level service bus corridors in the laboratory area of Madrid. Based on the study, it will be implemented one section (approximate 3km) which will be the starting point of a future longer corridor. In the construction phase, it will be considered: rearrangement of cross-road; parking facilities; new signals; adapt bus stops, connection with other intermodal PT facilities; IT tools; etc. Then, there will operate bus lines in the new corridor. The monitoring of the measure performance (ex-ante and post) is key to know the success of the measure.
