Klaipeda State Sea Port Authority is established and fully controlled by the central government, namely the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania. However, Klaipeda City Council and the Administration of Klaipeda Municipality are responsible for Klaipeda city development.
Klaipeda is currently preparing its SUMP for 2018-2019, and Klaipeda port stakeholders need to be involved in the discussions surrounding it. The port community will be included through coordinated workshops between port operators, port workers, group, and urban planners. The Ministry of Transport and Communications will be involved in the planning process as a stakeholder.
