As part of the POLIS Public Transport Lab (PT Lab) webinars series, an upcoming session will dive into the critical topic of integrating public transport with shared mobility. Taking place on 18 February, this session will delve into SUM, highlighting three innovative Living Labs: Athens-Penteli, Larnaca, and Krakow.

Shared mobility is a transformative force in urban transport, offering new opportunities to enhance public transport systems. This webinar will explore how these two modes can work together to create more efficient, user-friendly and sustainable urban mobility systems based on the advancements of the Living Labs.

The PT Lab Webinar Series, organised by POLIS, is dedicated to advancing public transport’s role in sustainable urban mobility. Running from November 2024 to early 2025, the series brings together local authorities, transport operators, and mobility experts to discuss key trends and innovations.

Key focus areas include:

  • Penteli: How infrastructure redesign can facilitate seamless integration between public transport and shared mobility.
  • Larnaca: Advancing ticketing system integration to create a unified mobility experience for users.
  • Krakow: Addressing the challenges of integrating shared mobility in suburban and peripheral areas to expand accessibility.

This webinar offers a unique platform to learn from the SUM project’s Living Labs and showcase best practices on innovation in public transport.
