Road safety as requirement for a sustainable mobility

On March 15th, in Verona (Italy), it will be held a conference entitled: Road safety as requirement for a sustainable mobility, promoted by the University of Verona.The University of Verona is organizing a set of conferences on the following issues: Mobility, Safety, Well-being and Awareness.In the first conference, held in 2003, it has been discussed the culture of sustainable mobility and its cultural interconnections. The aim of this second conference is to build up an informal network of actors who will work in a co-ordinate way on sustainable mobility, on road safety and on mobility education, in order to reduce road accidents, through both research and engineering interventions and educational actions and communications, following the European Union objective of 50% road death reduction within 2010.
