The introduction of mobile phone apps has transformed the way business communicates with customers and local authorities engage with their communities. The day will focus on the use of mobile phone applications that seek to improve access to smarter choices. Speakers will include industry insiders who have developed successful applications, providing practical examples of how the technology has improved access to walking, cycling and public transport. The event will also include a presentation by a local authority in the UK which currently operates a successful programme using mobile technology.
