The CIVINET Greece-Cyprus is pleased to invite you to a national training event which will take place on 4 May 2022 in Athens at the ΟΤΕ ACADEMY.
At the event, arguments and principles will be presented and discussed to strengthen the position of planners, politicians, decision makers and multipliers such as journalists in the process of making decisions in relation to on- and off-street parking. Parking is to be framed as a strategic challenge or task that has the potential to significantly alter behaviour and contribute to urban climate change mitigation strategies.
What to expect
Those in attendance will hear principles and arguments for parking management in cities, as well as parking management examples that demonstrate the benefits of strategically and sensibly managed parking. Attendees can expect to hear about parking policy, enforcement strategies, and ideas for awareness-raising and promotion.
This information is inspired by the findings gathered throughout the duration of the CIVITAS project Park4SUMP.
The event will be interactive, with aspects of hands-on planning. This training is delivered by CIVINET Greece-Cyprus in co-operation with the CIVITAS project Park4SUMP, by the trainers Robert Pressl and Claus Köllinger.
The training will be held in English, and participation is free.
For more information, see the agenda here.
