The Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) and Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress (TMWC) returns this year, both online and in-person, from 4-6 November 2025, in Barcelona (Spain). The event is a leading global tradeshow and congress, bringing together prominent voices on cities and smart urban solutions.

Since 2011, SCEWC has acted as a global meeting point for industry leaders, government officials, researchers, and entrepreneurs to showcase the latest market-ready urban solutions to make cities better places to live in. Alongside SCEWC, three co-located events will highlight key areas:

Tomorrow.Mobility for greener, safer and more efficient mobility solutions.
Tomorrow.Building for the green and digital transition of buildings.
Tomorrow.Blue Economy for sustainable use of ocean resources.

This year’s edition is set to welcome over 25,000 visitors from 130 countries around the globe, with over 1,100 exhibitors, 600 speakers and representatives from more than 850 cities.

CIVITAS at Tomorrow.Mobility

The CIVITAS Community will be attending Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress (TMWC), held in parallel to the Expo as its dedicated mobility track.

As part of the European Commission booth (Hall 2, Booth D101), at the Smart City Expo’s exhibition area, the CIVITAS Initiative will demonstrate a range of CIVITAS Projects and our CIVITAS National Networks (CIVINETs). Attendees will discover cutting-edge methods, tools, and lessons learned from CIVITAS projects pioneering change on the ground.

Gender-sensitive data for urban planning

This session explores how using gender-disaggregated data can help design more inclusive urban spaces and mobility infrastructure as European cities strive to become more inclusive and equitable on one hand and smart and data-driven on the other.
