Electric Vehicles for Smart Cities and Communities – Fostering the City-Industry Dialogue

THE CORE SCIENCE CENTRAL, BATH LANE, NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, NE4 5TF, UK, United Kingdom

Workshop

This workshop, organised by the Market Place of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC Market Place) in cooperation with the EV4SCC Platform, will bring together cities and the industry to discuss how the large-scale deployment of electric vehicles can contribute to making European cities smarter, more sustainable and more competitive. The workshop takes place on 1 April in Newcastle, UK.

The workshop will also contribute to the implementation of the EIP-SCC and feed into the conclusions which the initiative will present to the EU Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc during its General Assembly on the 21st May. It is a unique opportunity to provide input to the Commission’s future actions on electric vehicles in the context of Smart Cities.

Two input panels, one for industry representatives, and one for cities, will set the tone and provide inspiration for two following interactive sessions. During these, cities and companies are invited to discuss how they can work better together in order to accelerate the adoption of EVs and realize the associated smart city benefits, as well as to pitch projects and initiatives to each other and look for synergies.

The event is open and free of charge. Click here for more information and to register.
