EIT Urban Mobility Summer Schools 2025: Inclusive and Sustainable Mobility

Are you passionate about mobility? Do you seek to integrate mobility solutions that cater to people with reduced mobility in your city or that adapt sustainability to car-dependent regions?  EIT Urban Mobility, in collaboration with CIVINET BE, invites you to our unique Summer Schools 2025, in Ghent, Belgium from June 26 to July 4 and Bari, Italy from September 4 to 12, 2025.  

What is in the program? 

  • Learn interactively from experts: Engage in panel discussions and workshops focused on innovating urban mobility design in your region.  

  • Foster new connections in a collaborative environment: Team up with students and professionals on real-world cases to find creative solutions to mobility challenges.  

  • Cultural Experience: Immerse yourself in the vibrant city of your choice and enjoy field visits and excursions to key places of the region. 

  • Educational Opportunities: Gain insight into the master and doctoral school offered by EIT Urban Mobility and University of Ghent, designed to help students build a career as a mobility experts

Who should apply? 

The Summer School is designed for students and transport professionals passionate about sustainable and inclusive urban mobility. We welcome participants from diverse backgrounds, including engineering, computer science, geography, urban planning, and transport policy, who want to explore further training and research opportunities in urban mobility, transport planning and data science through EIT Urban Mobility. Participants will experience personalized learning and peer-to-peer exchanges, culminating in presentations to a jury, who will provide feedback, advice, and resources for further career development. 

Apply for the Ghent Inclusive Mobility Summer School 

Master or Doctoral Student? Apply by March 31, 2025, to benefit from the early bird fee of €1300 (+VAT), which includes accommodation in a shared (double occupancy) room for eight nights, all weekday breakfasts and lunches, selected dinners, and social activities (including a boat tour of Ghent and excursions to Bruges, Gravensteen, and more).

Apply for the Bari Sustainable Mobility Summer School 

Professional or Bachelor Student? Register by April 15, 2025, to benefit from the early bird fee of €1150 (+VAT), which includes accommodation in a shared (double occupancy) room for eight nights, all weekday breakfasts and lunches, selected dinners, and social activities (including a bike tour in Bari, an Italian food night, and excursions to Castel del Monte and Parco Nazionale Alta Murgia, and to Polignano a Mare). Special rates are available for those not needing accommodation and for participants from emerging economies. Bachelor students can apply for special scholarships!
