Research on public transport priority so far are carried out in developed countries since the 80s of the 20th century and have shown that adaptive control of traffic lights can effectively contribute to improving the quality of urban transport systems in urban areas.Objective of one of the measure of CIVITAS ELAN in Zagreb is the establishment of public transport priority (trams in the city of Zagreb) adaptive control of traffic lights, and providing real-time traffic information to travellers. Expected results of measure are the increase in average travel speed and reduction of waiting of public transport vehicles at intersections. This should result in larger number of users of public transport.A presentation was given on activities and research results within the measure Public transport priority which was held at the Zagreb Info Point (old tram in front of the Technical Museum, Savska street 18). The presentation was given by Luka Novačko and Miroslav Vujic from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. Discussion was moderated by Tihana Damjanović from ODRAZ.
