Padova (Italy)

Padova, located in Italy's Veneto region, is actively pursuing sustainable urban mobility to enhance transportation efficiency and environmental quality. In January 2020, the Metropolitan City of Padova approved its Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP), aiming to promote low-carbon mobility through measures such as modal shifts and the introduction of a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in the city center. A key component of Padova's mobility strategy is the Bici Master Plan, which focuses on developing a comprehensive network of cycling paths to ensure continuity and safety for cyclists. This initiative is part of a broader effort to encourage cycling as a primary mode of transport.
