Gozo (Malta)

Gozo, Malta's smaller island, is renowned for its scenic landscapes and historic sites. It is connected to Malta via a frequent ferry service between Mgarr Harbour and Cirkewwa. Within Gozo, public transport is limited, leading many to opt for taxis, car rentals, or scooters. Cycling is popular due to the island's compact size. To enhance mobility, the Gozo Regional Development Strategy 2021-2030 includes initiatives like introducing electric buses on popular routes, such as Route 301 connecting Mgarr ferry port with Victoria, aiming to reduce emissions and improve air quality. Additionally, the National Strategy for the Introduction of Electromobility in Malta and Gozo emphasizes the importance of electric mobility to reduce traffic emissions and energy consumption.
