CAPITAL project activities featured in new report
CIVITAS CAPITAL has published a report, entitled ‘CAPITAL in Context 2014’ which describes the work of the project over the last year, as well as setting this work in a larger context.
CIVITAS CAPITAL has published a report, entitled ‘CIVITAS CAPITALised’ which describes the work of the project over the last year, as well as setting this work in a larger context. The report is divided into three thematic sections, focusing on clean and resource-efficient mobility, inclusive transport for a healthy and cohesive society, and smart mobility for smart growth and jobs.
The sections include a detailed analysis of sustainable urban mobility measures or strategies that match each theme, and also refer to relevant policy at the European level as well as in individual EU Member States. Facts and figures are also included, so readers can explore the current state of mobility and transport in Europe in more detail.
In each section short articles from the various CAPITAL work packages are featured, such as highlights on projects funded through the CIVITAS Activity Fund, activities undertaken by the CIVINETs, the latest topics under discussion by the CIVITAS Thematic Groups and Advisory Groups.
CIVITAS CAPITAL aims to mainstream the principles of the CIVITAS Initiative in support of the goals of the 2011 Transport White Paper and amplify opportunities for sharing practical knowledge and experience to more European cities.
The report was first published under 'CAPITAL in Context' in March 2015, but was renamed. Two further reports will be produced under the new name for 2015 and 2016.
