CIVITAS Forum 2018 - Call for Contributions
About the Forum Conference
The annual CIVITAS Forum Conference is the CIVITAS Initiative's flagship event. Up to 500 participants, drawn from a diverse community of policymakers, practitioners, academics, and city representatives, come together each year.
Over three days, they discuss the most urgent mobility-related issues, share and learn from challenges, present state-of-the-art solutions, build partnerships, and witness sustainable urban mobility innovation in action.
This year's Forum is the 16th edition and is taking place from 19-21 September 2018 in Umeå, Sweden.
Call for contributions open
This call invites CIVITAS and non-CIVITAS cities, organisations, and projects to submit session proposals for the CIVITAS Forum 2018.
At this year's Forum, they are split into two types - thematic and take-up and transfer sessions. All activities should aim to connect people and share knowledge in interactive ways.
Consult the call document for more information on suggested formats and topics for contributions.
Thematic sessions
Thematic sessions will act as fora for lively discussion and engage with the most urgent topics in mobility. Presenters have the chance to show their outstanding, innovative examples of work across and beyond the CIVITAS Initiative. The sessions encompass 15 different thematic areas.
Take-up and transfer sessions
The new session types form the most interactive element in this year's programme. They provide organisers with the opportunity to demonstrate their solutions and will allow participants to get hands-on with and experience cutting-edge urban mobility tools and methods.
