CIVITAS Webinar: Can Mobility as a Service contribute to sustainable mobility and how to establish it successfully?
BelgiumWebinar
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) has been marketed as a new transport concept that may change or disrupt current models of transport provision, particularly in urban areas. The concept of MaaS claims to offer a personal mobility package based on lifestyle needs and delivered through a single interface and subscription. MaaS, driven partly by business and technology priorities, will have to have an impact on policy thinking, including at local, national and EU level.
Join this webinar to hear about the chances, risks and opportunities that arise from MaaS, from a researcher’s perspective and a city network. Learn from Turku about smart integration into transport policies and understand how Vienna managed to establish its own MaaS.
- Opportunities of MaaS for the urban transport system and value to the customer
Dr Maria Kamargianni, MaaSLab University College London - The role of local and regional authorities in the MaaS environment
Suzanne Hoadley, POLIS working group on transport efficiency - Driving change, how the Vienna MaaS model developed
Gregor Stratil-Sauer, Vienna City Administration - The MaaS readiness indicator - CIVITAS ECCENTRIC
Stella Aaltonen, City of Turku
