Second International Joint Transfer Exercise Workshop

Belgium

Workshop

The SUCCESS project targets the construction industry as one of the largest consumers of urban freight transport. A more innovative approach to construction logistics and supply chain management could help reduce negative impacts and increase productivity and transport efficiency in the sector. SUCCESS is financed by the H2020 programme and is part of the CIVITAS Urban Freight Cluster.

The take-up on a wider European level of the solutions developed by SUCCESS’ will be guaranteed by the project’s Enlarged Transfer Programme (ETP). Three workshops in different European areas will address 12 selected non-partner cities that are undergoing a decent level of growth in the construction sector, as well as their local stakeholders invovled in the construction supply chain.

The second International Joint Transfer Exercise Workshop will take place in October 2017 and will be organised in the south-east of Europe - the exact date and locations are to be decided

The workshop will give each participating city the chance to present the current construction logistics situation in their territory and find out about about the work of the SUCCESS project. They will also be able to discuss the impact of construction logistics on their urban area with other local stakeholders and learn from the experiences of other EU cities.

Useful information:

Travel and accommodation costs for the workshop will be covered by the SUCCESS project.

The commitment expected from a city will mainly consist of:

  • Extending the invitation to relevant local stakeholders in the construction supply chain;
  • Presenting the local situation in terms of city logistics and how measures related to this could impact on the construction sector.

When preparing for the workshop, cities will benefit from the support of the SUCCESS partners in analysing their specific local contexts.
