New report on CIVITAS CAPITAL activities released

CIVITAS Initiative

The CIVITAS CAPITAL project has released its third and final edition of the CIVITAS CAPITALised reports.

The report analyses the final year of CAPITAL from late 2015 to the end of most of the project’s activities in August 2016, exploring three thematic areas - clean and resource-aware mobility; inclusive mobility for a cohesive and health society; and smart mobility for smart growth and jobs.

It defines each theme in relation to CAPITAL and gives some insight into current European policy that applies to each. A number of articles then report on the activities of the relevant Thematic and Advisory Groups, share information on CIVINET activities and summarise the activities of projects that received CIVITAS co-funding.

“The CIVITAS Initiative depends on its community of practitioners, policy and decision makers and experts across all sectors and at all levels to create the future of urban mobility in Europe,” said Mayor Wojciech Szczurek from the City of Gdynia – the host of this year’s CIVITAS Forum, which takes place from 28-29 October.

He added: “The activities highlighted in this report are just a few examples of the great work that our CIVITAS colleagues have been working on in the past year.”
