European Commission invites proposals for new FP7 call

CIVITAS Initiative

The European Commission is inviting proposals for calls under the FP7 Framework with the aim to develop integrated, safer, greener and smarter pan-European transport systems for the benefit of all citizens, society and climate policy.

The objectives for 2013 focus on three major socio-economic challenges: 1. Eco-innovation: Decarbonising the transport system and using natural resources efficiently. 2. Safe and seamless mobility: Optimising the efficiency, safety and security of the transport system. 3. Competitiveness and growth through innovation: Strengthening the competitiveness of the European transport industry and job-friendly growth through innovation. In particular, the action Capitalising CIVITAS knowledge and experience under the FP7-TRANSPORT-2013-MOVE-1 call should promote wider take-up of CIVITAS measures, develop capabilities relevant to the goals specified in the White Paper for Transport “Towards a single European transport area” and build on existing CIVITAS support actions and other relevant projects. The closing date for application is 14 November 2012. For more information, please refer to the FP7-TRANSPORT-2013-MOVE-1 call and find a detailed description in the FP7 2013 Cooperation Work Programme for Transport.
