Vulnerable groups such as children, older people, or people with disabilities depend on public transportation and accessible public space to stay mobile. Women are also more regular users of public transport than men.

There are several examples of city streets converted to a more balanced coexistence of different road users. Traffic calming measures and other innovative nterventions can create safer and more fluent mobility conditions for cars, public transport and goods vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. Which are the most attractive and low cost solutions? Can road design be used also for fast interventions and for active involvement of citizens in testing new traffic rules and more sustainable modes? CIVITAS WIKI and the Thematic Group Safety and Security invite you to interact, share your experiences and your questions.
