Promoting bicycle use, as well as other alternative means of transport, was the theme of the III street mural (3x3m) competition, organized by the Youth Department of the Council together with the CiViTAS CARAVEL programme.

The first prize went to Ricardo Palomo for a magnificent idea with the slogan “Vini, Vidi, Bici” which now can be seen in one of the main Civic Centres of the City. Five other panels have also been chosen to decorate various other municipal buildings: sports centres, swimming pools, libraries and the fire station now show these 3x3 metre panels on their façades, which above all promote the use of the bicycle but also give advice on the use of private vehicles or the use of public transport.
