New CIVITAS E-courses available

The CIVITAS Learning Centre has expanded its catalogue of e-courses. New courses about Mobility Management and Traffic and Mobility Fundamentals are available.

E-courses offer the possibility to learn more about one of the CIVITAS topics from behind your desk. It will cost you 30 minutes of your time maximum. The catalogue is accessible via http://www.civitas.eu/learning-centre/e-courses . Enrolling in one or more courses is easy and free of charge.

The e-course "Traffic and Mobility Fundamentals" provides the basics of traffic and mobility system. It presents frameworks, background and examples in order to help explain. It will help to better answer questions such as What is the cause of traffic problems in my city? How to tackle them? What is the role of citizens and other stakeholders? Knowledge gathered through this course will contribute to a systematic and more effective approach of policy making and implementation.

The -ecourse "Mobility Management" provides the basics of mobility management. It covers relevant topics such as characteristics, mobility services, target groups and important fields of implementation. Theory is supported with many practical examples.

The CIVITAS Learning Centre the umbrella under which a portfolio of capacity building activities is offered. Under this umbrella the catalogue of e-courses will be expanded coming months. The Learning Centre will also organise in-person trainings until August 2016 on an ongoing basis. Finally, the Learning Centre runs the CIVITAS placement programme, where municipal mobility staff can learn from their colleagues in a number of leading CIVITAS cities.
