These activities are funded by the CIVITAS ARCHIMDEDES Project. In a first stage, which was completed last year, the private company Inter-Gas Romania SRL of Bucharest converted 30 buses. In the second stage, specialists from the same company led three training sessions for 83 bus drivers, together with 68 auto mechanics and locksmiths. The training sessions were held by the local PT Company, over three months and focused on the maintenance and operation of LPG buses Renault R312.Participants received information about the components of the LPG equipment, the configuration of each component and the operating mode of this technology. After they passed the final test, all drivers and technicians received professional certificates for acquiring the specific knowledge of LPG technology implementation.
