City bike opens to tourists in San Sebastián

In July, DBizi - Donostia-San Sebastián's public bicycle system - was expanded, with four more stations and 50 additional bikes. It is now also possible for tourists and other non-residents to make use of the system. Visitors can explore the city in an intermodal way, combining trains and buses with public bikes.

Four new stations within public bicycle system were opened. Today, there are in total nine stations in operation, of which four are located at train stations. One of the objectives is to promote intermodal trips, combining train, bus and bicycle. The expansion also included the introduction of 50 additional bicycles, bringing the total to 150.Residents of Donostia-San Sebastián can become members of DBizi for an annual fee of EUR 20. The first hour of cycling is free for members. Thirty minutes after having parked the bicycle at one the stations, the members can once again use one of the public bicycles.Tourists and others visitors can buy a day pass for 8 Euros, a three-day pass for 15 Euros or pay 25 Euros for a weekly ticket.
