Francesco Ferrero received the M.Sc. degree in physics from Università di Torino, Torino, Italy. He is currently the Lead Partnership Officer for Mobility, Logistics and Smart Cities with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. Previously, he was the Head of the Smart City Strategic Program with Istituto Superiore Mario Boella, Torino, where he led a multidisciplinary team of researchers conducting applied research in the field of economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable cities. He edited a handbook of research on the argument (http://bit.ly/1DGZAPt) and is involved in several research projects related to smart and sustainable cities. Notably, he is the Project Coordinator of the SUCCESS Horizon 2020 project on how to improve the mobility and logistic flows associated to construction works.
