    Content: This webinar will focus on the deployment of electric freight vehicles in both the U.S. and Europe, sharing examples of how the publicand private sectors have collaborated to improve metropolitan freight operations while reducing emissions.

    Intended Audience: The intended audience is both U.S. and international freight planners and practitioners at all levels of government; informationrelevant private sector freight logistics coordinators will also be presented.

    This is the second urban freight webinar in a series. It is part of a joint EC-FHWA research & development initiative on urban freight, known as the Urban Freight R&D Twinning Initiative. The first webinar "Examples of Public-Private Collaboration in Freight Planning", is available here. The series is also a component of FHWA’s Office of Freight Management and Operations' freight professional development program. At the same time, 4 large EC-funded urban freight R&D projects and a number of other EU-based networks are involved in the EC-FHWA Twinning Initiative, including the CIVITAS Urban Freight Logistics Thematic Group, which coordinates and facilitate cooperation among the CIVITAS EC-funded urban freight and logistics projects, and with external initiatives.
