Webinar: FLOW and transport modelling: Looking at the tools

Author: Bonnie Fenton
Posted on: Thursday, May 4, 2017 - 14:08

Cycling and walking are good for our health and for the environment. But how do these kinds of non-motorised transport relate to congestion? The FLOW project is looking at the role of walking and cycling in urban congestion and how they can help solve this widespread urban challenge.

The EU FLOW project is running a series of webinars and e-courses throughout 2017 looking at different aspects of congestion, cycling and walking and transport modelling. The second webinar, FLOW and transport modelling: looking at the tools, will introduce you to the improved macroscopic and microscopic modelling software developed in the FLOW project as well as FLOW's congestion impact assessment tool. It will also provide a concrete example of the application of FLOW tools in the context of FLOW Partner City Budapest. The webinar takes place on Wednesday, 17.05.2017 at 14:00-15:30 CET. The accompanying e-course runs from 22.05-23.06.2017.

The webinar is open to all but please note a basic understanding of traffic modelling is needed to complete the e-course.

For more information on the FLOW e-courses and webinars and to sign up for the second webinar and/or e-course, visit the FLOW website.
