Safety and security

Safety and security make sustainable transport options feasible and attractive.

CIVITAS cities are looking into new ways to ensure the safety of urban travellers, especially cyclists, pedestrians and the most vulnerable groups such as children and elderly people.

Initiatives include for example traffic calming, improved cycling infrastructure and anti-vandalism activities.
