Summary

In 2020, there was an estimated loss of 40.000.000.000.000 Euro in the public transport sector due to the drop in passengers rides and necessary adaptations since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic affected the way we move around cities in an unprecedented way. City administrations are forced to address resilience and integrated strategic planning processes.

In this webinar, we looked at the intersections between resilience and sustainable mobility planning, discussing the SUMP cycle, learned lessons from the public transport sector and resilience planning in mobility department of the city of Vienna.
