The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the vulnerability of society's current way of life. Planners have become more aware of the necessity to increase resilience in cities beyond the immediate needs linked to the ongoing health crisis.

For this reason, the CIVITAS SATELLITE Coordination and Support Action, supported by projects from the CIVITAS Initiative, is preparing a SUMP Topic Guide on resilience.

With a thematic focus on mobility, it is designed to guide cities responding to COVID-19 and assist them with their preparedness for any future crises that arise.

To ensure that the document is relevant for all key urban mobility actors, a consultation process is being launched to allow stakeholders to contribute to its development.

As part of this, a webinar is taking place on Friday 15 January, 13:00-14:00 CET. After a short introduction to the process and document by Susanne Böhler-Baedeker (Rupprecht Consult), Ivo Cré and Laura Babío (POLIS), an interactive discussion will enable participants to voice their feedback on the document. Register here to join.

The draft document is available for download here (and below) - readers can add comments directly to the document. The same can be done with the annex, which can be downloaded here and also found below.

Feedback on the document is invited until Friday 22 January. All documents should be sent to Ivo Cré - icre@polisnetwork.eu
