WorkshopCIVITAS Initiative

Parking management includes a variety of strategies that encourage more efficient use of existing parking facilities and help achieve a variety of transportation, land use development, economic and environmental objectives.
The conference is organized by the European project CIVITAS “2MOVE2” and addresses stakeholders in the field of parking management and transport from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Israel and Germany. It will be a platform for professionals and experts from cities and transport institutions aiming to exchange experiences and solutions for a better parking management and urban mobility.
CIVITAS 2MOVE2 partners (Stuttgart, Malaga, Brno and Tel Aviv-Yafo) will present the work they have performed in this field within the project.
The event is organized together with the CIVINET network of cities in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The event will take place at the premises of the newly open Traffic Education Centre (Areál dopravní výchovy a vzdělávání) which is focusing on transport education not only of children and youth but also adults. So called transport playground provides opportunity to learn safety rules; the simulators which are part of the centre show danger during the car accidents.
Since 2002 the CIVITAS Initiative is co-funded by the European Commission and has helped cities to achieve a more sustainable, clean and energy efficient urban transport system by implementing and evaluating an ambitious, integrated set of technology and policy based measures.
English translation will be provided during the whole conference.
Participation is free of charge.
