A new campaign to incentivise more port employees to commute by bike will be launched. Bicycle-counting screens on several locations in the area will be constructed. Port companies will organise coaching sessions in traffic safety for cyclists. Both De Lijn and NMBS, want to trigger employees working in the city and port towards a more sustainable mode of transport and therefore securing the mobility towards Antwerp and its port by ‘seducing’ car drivers by means of campaigns promoting the advantages of the use of train, tram and bus.
