D4 Service: The Smart Distribution System

D4 Service organizes efficient routes in an automatic way (through the development of a software, GPS, and sending information to customer), and indicates to the delivery person the order of deliveries. As a result, the customer can be informed exactly when the package will be delivered.

Implementing sustainable mobility

Objectives:

  • Reduction of noise, emissions and fuel consumption.
  • Decrease number of freight vehicle in the inner city
  • Optimizing distribution within urban area

How will this be achieved?.

  • The Smart Distribution System called (D4 service) will be introduce in the distribution companies In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This allow that the possibility to make the delivery process more efficient for the distribution company and “liberates” the receiving party since he will be informed beforehand about the real delivery time.
  • D4 Service organizes efficient routes in an automatic way and indicates to the delivery man the order of delivery. As a result, customer could be informed exactly when the package will be delivered.
